Classes are held on Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and one Saturday per month from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., during the months of September through May.
In addition to classroom training, each apprentice is assigned to work for a local plumbing/mechanical contractor during the normal work week (Monday through Friday). The apprentice is paid an appropriate wage, equal to the time and progress in the program.
In order that the apprentice will have an opportunity to experience various types of work, i.e., residential, commercial & industrial, apprentices are transferred each year to a different contractor/employer. This also allows the apprentice the experience of working with many different Journeymen craft persons to gain the benefit of their knowledge.
The cost to the apprentice is a nominal fee per year to cover the cost of textbooks. All other expenses for materials, tools, facilities, instructor wages and administration are paid by the Apprenticeship Program.
This is a no-nonsense program that recognizes the need for quality training in the craft. We are looking for applicants that are willing to dedicate their time, energy and talent to a profession that requires hard physical work, and where the rewards are both financially and mentally satisfying.
Please forward this information to any individuals you may know who are qualified and would be interested in applying for entry into the Plumbers Apprenticeship Program.
Sincerely,
DAVID NYSTROM
